The B.N. Duke Scholars are again coordinating Duke SPLASH, an event which is scheduled for Saturday, February 18, 2012. Duke Splash is a program where Duke students teach fun, innovative classes to Durham middle and high school students. Back in 2009, Alice Yen, Class of 2012, created the program based on a similar concept at MIT. Class titles from previous years include: Build Your Own Website, Condensed Basic Swahili, A History of Women's Health, Neuropharmacology and A Cappella/Beatboxing. This year's co-chairs are Rebekah Johnston & Tolison Humphrey. Check out the Duke SPLASH website for information on how to get involved as an instructor or to assist in coordination of the event. See the new brochure designed to promote Duke Splash through the public schools and the course catalog where eight B.N. Duke Scholars are instructors.
